We are seeking a Data Scientist to support the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced analytics for a large-scale financial integrity monitoring program. This role will work closely with business and technology teams to develop data-driven solutions that enhance risk identification processes.

Responsibilities:

Data & Analytics
  • Leverage analytics tools (e.g., SQL for querying, Tableau or Power BI for visualization, Azure/Databricks for data exploration) to perform business-driven analysis, identify trends, and support decision making.
  • Collaborate on technology needs and solutions by specifying business requirements for linking, grouping, and enriching data across multiple sources (internal systems, third-party vendors, etc.).
Risk Modeling & Advanced Analytics
  • Develop and maintain risk scoring models for transactions and counterparties using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Conduct network analysis and anomaly detection to identify suspicious transaction patterns and emerging risks.
  • Apply natural language processing techniques to extract insights from unstructured data (e.g., RFI documents, analyst notes).
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a critical bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into scalable, data-driven technology solutions that meet compliance, performance, and usability requirements.
Case Management Insights
  • Design analytics to support workflow optimization, SLA monitoring, and QA sampling.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for operational KPIs, risk trends, and escalation patterns.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. 
  • 5+ years in data science or analytics roles, preferably in financial services, compliance, or risk management.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics tools and applications, including SQL, Tableau, Azure/Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, networkx) and familiarity with machine learning, anomaly detection, and graph/network analytics.
  • Experience in financial-crimes compliance (FCC), including familiarity with AML, sanctions screening, KYC, and transaction monitoring processes. The ideal candidate understands the key components and operational workflows of strong FCC programs.
  • Experience with data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Knowledge of case management systems and workflow automation preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and API integrations preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable business insights preferred.

Minimum salary: $120,000 | Maximum salary: $140,000
